More and more day nurseries and crèches are starting to make French sessions part of the services they offer the children in their care. We would love to get you up and running and developing the French language in your nursery.
Arc-en-ciel can visit your crèche/day nursery and deliver fun sessions to the children in your care. Using catchy rhymes, songs and games appropriate to the age of the children in each class – French becomes an enjoyable and rewarding part of nursery life. Little by little, as the weeks go by, our experienced and passionate teachers will have children enthused and entertained while they start to make their first steps in the language.
We also offer staff training so that you can make French part of your daily activities, seamlessly giving your children more exposure to the language throughout the week. Carers can be coached on the French for objects that commonly appear in your nursery, along with questions and useful phrases like ‘it’s time for lunch/ a nap/ to go home’, plus foods, colours and numbers to incorporate into other daily repetitive activities that take place at your nursery. Children’s parents can also be invited along to these sessions so that they can feel a part of their child’s learning experience and gain skills to stimulate their further learning at home.
We have some great materials available to keep French alive throughout the week. You can make the playing of French songs an occasion to look forward to - encouraging the children to move around dance freely and enjoy the music as much s possible. With bi-lingual books or projector stories read in French, you can transform story time.
We can help you prepare information packs to send to parents. We have put together literature detailing the benefits of learning a second language from an early age – ‘….from the benefits it has on their first language learning to improved acuity across the spectrum - from numeracy to problem solving. With the world getting increasingly smaller, a second language offers children exposure to another culture which in turn can support understanding and tolerance of others and an appreciation of diversity.’
Ultimately it is our aim to offer you a service that you and your parents can be proud and excited to be a part of. Our packages can be delivered to you at a small cost per head, from as little as the price of a child’s meals for the day.
